Oana Amaria
|
Oana Amaria and her family emigrated from Romania to United States in the late 80’s. Her own personal experiences on the difficulty of emigrating to the United States fuelled her capacity to understand the value and need for a strong community network enabling individuals to succeed across cultures. Joining the ROCX as the Vice President of Social Integration gave Oana the opportunity to meet likeminded individuals that are willing to contribute to the Romanian community, in an effort to make a difference.
Oana Amaria is cross-cultural consultant with a specialization in organizational development and over 7 years of international development experience. She attained a Bachelor of Science in International Business from North Park University, and a Master of Science in International Public Services from DePaul University. Oana is also currently an adjunct professor at Illinois Institute of Technology, teaching “Effective Management of Human Resources in Environments of Scarce Resources” to international students in the Masters of Public Administrations program. In her free time, Oana can be found making fabulous meals for her friends, rock climbing with her brothers or enjoying the Chicago salsa dancing scene. |
