In September of 2013, the Romanian Cultural Exchanged hosted it's 5th annual film festival as a part of a Romanian Cultural Marathon. The event included local artists and acclaimed national and international directors.
As the L.A. Times quotes, "Romanians can't make a bad film. It's like, illegal in their country." Opening night began with a cocktail party to honor Horatiu Malaele, a lead Romanian film industry players and our elite sponsors. Each year this event draws the highest population of people with Romanian heritage in the Mid-West, and hundreds of film lovers and foreign film enthusiasts alike in discovering the cinematic phenomenon that left a fierce impression on film festivals all over the world.
Help ROCX make that impact in Chicago, we invite you take part of our festival next year! In the meanwhile, check out our awesome videos from the event and list of films.
